Full-Time Young Adult Librarian

The City of Gretna Library is situated in one of the fastest growing cities in Nebraska. Located 15 minutes from downtown Omaha, we are dedicated to serving our community and providing a vibrant library experience. 

Summary

This position is for a full-time Young Adult Librarian who will plan, coordinate, and oversee young adult services.  This position will report directly to the Library Director.

Duties

In this position, you will need to utilize proper phone etiquette, circulate materials, manage library accounts, handle monetary transactions, conduct reader’s advisory, demonstrate eResources and databases, and ensure the confidentiality of all patron records.  

Must possess a valid driver’s license. Must have a high school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience with professional library service and computer/library automation systems preferred. Must obtain provisional certification from the Nebraska Library Commission and be willing to obtain further education, training and certifications as deemed appropriate by the employer. Salary beginning at: $22.27 per hour DOQ.
