THE 12TH ANNUAL StarBQ IS ALMOST HERE!  Join us at the Branched Oak Observatory on Sunday, October 11th, from 5:00–11:00 PM for one of our biggest events of the year! There’s something for the whole family:  Granny Gwen’s Food Truck — BBQ and plenty of great food!  LIVE MUSIC from The Last Minute Band  RAFFLES & GREAT PRIZES — including our GRAND PRIZE: a SeeStar S50 digital telescope! MILITARY APPRECIATION VORTEX BINOCULAR RAFFLE All current and former members of the U.S. military in attendance will receive a FREE special raffle ticket for their branch of service. We’ll draw one winner from EACH branch to receive a pair of Vortex binoculars, courtesy of Vortex!  Army  Navy  Air Force  Marines  Coast Guard  Space Force  TELESCOPE VIEWING — Weather permitting, explore the night sky through a variety of telescopes!  COME EARLY FOR SAFE SOLAR VIEWING and get an up-close look at our Sun.  Check out our Moon Map and explore the lunar surface!  STEM ACTIVITIES & MAKE-AND-TAKE PROJECTS for the kids in our classroom.  SPECIAL EVENT MERCHANDISE — StarBQ T-shirts, sweatshirts and hoodies will be available!  ADMISSION Adults: $10 Kids ages 5–12: $5 Kids under 5: FREE  AFTER 8:30 PM — ADMISSION IS FREE!
