City of Gretna's 4th Annual Puzzles & Pie Competition

Description

The City of Gretna is hosting their fourth annual Puzzles & Pie Competition held at Heavy Brewing.
 
Teams of 4 will compete to be crowned the puzzling champion! Each team will be given an identical 500-piece puzzle to complete in a 2-hour time frame. The teams to complete the puzzle the quickest wins a prize.
 
Entry fee is $75 per team that covers the puzzle, (2) 12-inch pizzas of your choice and 4 fountain drinks. Each team gets to keep their puzzle once the event is over!
Check in will start at 11:00am giving you plenty of time to place your drink order and eat before we start. We will let the kitchen know when you arrived so they can start your pizza. Play will start promptly at 1:00pm and will end at 3:00pm.
 
The entry form must be filled out with payment and received no later than March 27th at noon. Entry form/fee may be delivered in person or mailed to Gretna City Hall or Heavy Brewing.

Another new addition! The top three teams to finish our competition, will qualify for the Nebraska State Fair Puzzle Competition. With the winners permission, we will give your contact information to the State Fair Representative, so they can send your team the sign-up form. Their Puzzle Championship will have monetary prizes of $300, $200 and $100 for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place. The State Fair takes place August 28th-September 7th, 2026
