PART TIME TELLER
SUMMARY
Provides superior and quality customer service through efficient and accurate transaction processing, including handling and posting transactions, accepting payments, and verifying funds. Sells the Bank's products and services. Duties include balancing cash drawer and handling customer inquiries of a routine nature. Assists in other activities and projects as assigned, including but not limited to data entry, filing, and account reconcilement.
- Receives retail and commercial checking and savings deposits by determining that all necessary deposit documents are in proper form, and issuing receipts.
- Cashes checks, conducts savings and checking withdrawals; confirms all necessary documents are properly authorized, are in proper form and are within authorized limits; makes decisions when questionable items are presented for cashing.
- Assists with night depository duties; logging bags, processing deposits, making change orders, issuing receipts and returning bags to customers.
- May assist in opening and closing the vault daily; assists in balancing vault currency and coin.
- Promotes and cross-sells the Bank’s products and services by assisting customers in selecting options that meet their needs, while referring them to appropriate staff as necessary.
- Establishes proper identification of new customers and determines need and extent of reference investigation.
- Operates personal computer to process account activity, determine balances, and resolve problems within given authority.
- Issues official checks, money orders, etc.
- Accepts loan, installment and collection payments.
- Balances cash drawer daily and verifies cash being returned to the vault.
- Provides effective customer service and assists in resolving problems within given authority.
- Records, files, scans documents, updates information and sorts mail or reports as required.
- Answers telephones and directs callers to proper Bank personnel.
- May gather data and process various reports (e.g., currency transaction, returned items, overdrafts, callbacks, etc.)
- May prepare and research data for levies and garnishments.
- Types routine letters reports and forms.
- Maintains files, copies and monitor supply needs.

- Performs the position safely, without endangering the health or safety to themselves or others and will be expected to report potentially unsafe conditions. The employee shall comply with occupational safety and health standards and all rules, regulations and orders issued pursuant to the OSHA Act of 1970, which are applicable to one’s own actions and conduct.
- Availability to work Saturdays and on call availability to assist with scheduling.
