Front of House Manager

Position Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Front-of-House Manager to oversee the daily operations of our establishment's front-of-house team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that our guests receive exceptional service, maintaining the quality of our food and drinks, and leading a team of front-of-house staff.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of the front-of-house team, including servers, bartenders, and hosts.

  • Ensure that all guests receive excellent customer service and that all complaints are handled promptly and professionally.

  • Train new employees on our policies and procedures, including food and drink menu knowledge, service standards, and point-of-sale systems.

  • Maintain a clean and organized front-of-house environment, including the dining area, bar, and restrooms.

  • Manage inventory of front-of-house supplies, including glassware, silverware, and menus.

  • Develop and implement staff schedules, ensuring adequate coverage during peak hours.

  • Monitor and manage the restaurant's reservation system, ensuring that reservations are

    properly managed and communicated to the front-of-house team.

  • Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure efficient communication and service

    between the front and back of house.

  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, and manage the restaurant's

    compliance with state and local liquor laws.

  • Manage and control restaurant expenses, including labor, inventory, and equipment

    maintenance.
     

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in a management role in a high-volume restaurant or bar.

  • Strong communication and leadership skills.

  • Knowledge of food and drink menus, service standards, and point-of-sale systems.

  • Ability to handle high-pressure situations with a calm and professional demeanor.

  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.

  • Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

  • Experience with managing inventory, labor costs, and other restaurant expenses.

  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations and liquor laws.
