Development Services Director Position

We need someone who thrives in fast-paced environments, embraces new opportunities, and is eager to further the building of a professional Building and Zoning department. This exciting position requires excellent leadership skills and proven experience in economic growth, local planning and development, and long-term visioning. The Development Services Director will lead the city’s building, zoning, and planning operations, respect community while enabling innovation and progress, and work closely with city leadership, departments, and stakeholders to align growth and development pressures and strategy with our community’s goals.
What You’ll Do:
• Oversee all building, zoning, planning, and land use activities by helping steer our exuberant growth patterns.
• Ensure our future through visionary and innovative practices and ideas.
• Develop and execute strategies that support community growth, development, and transformation.
• Collaborate with City leaders to shape the roadmap of Gretna’s current and future environment.
• Champion a culture of transparency, accountability, and trust across the department and City.
